Dr. Chaffee was born and raised in Southern California, and he has been practicing dentistry since 1975. He says that nothing makes him happier than seeing the joy on his patients’ faces when they look at the new smiles he’s given them for the first time. He and his team are eager to give you the best possible dental experience, and below, you can learn a little more about Dr. Chaffee.
Why Did You Want to Become
a Dentist?
Dr. Chaffee was inspired to pursue a dental career by his family dentist as well as his older brother, who also became a dentist. His philosophy is that everyone should be able to enjoy the benefits of ideal dental care, and he loves helping people look and feel better by giving them beautiful, healthy smiles.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Chaffee graduated from the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 1975. Later, his post-graduate studies included a two-year Progressive Orthodontics Program. In 1992, he became an International Instructor for Progressive Orthodontics and taught the course to dentists for more than 10 years across 15 countries. He is also a Certified Invisalign Provider.
His professional memberships include the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Chaffee and his wife, Debbie, have two teen boys, Darryn and Ben. When he isn’t spending time with family, he likes to stay active by water skiing, snow skiing, jet skiing, and boating. He also plays piano and guitar and even composes his own music!
